Nylon vs Polyester

Nylon

Our Nylon flags are crafted using aniline-dyed 100% heavyweight 200-denier nylon bunting. Nylon material is fast drying, treated to resist fading, and flies in the slightest breeze. Finished with white poly-cotton header.

Polyester

Our Poly-Max Flags are crafted using 2-ply 100% polyester bunting. The open weave construction reduces wind resistance, increasing flag life. Poly-Max material is extremely durable and ideal for commercial applications and high wind areas. Finished with white poly-cotton header.

California’s Official State Flag

California’s beautiful state flag was designed by the nephew of Mary Todd Lincoln, William Todd. You may recognize Mary’s name as she was the wife of Abraham Lincoln. The flag designed by William Todd sometimes known as “the bear flag” was raised at Sonoma, California in 1846. It was American settlers in revolt against Mexican rule who originally raise the flag. The flag was finally and officially adopted as the state flag in 1911. This flag is a great addition to your home, office, or as a gift for a friend who may be missing home. The iconic bear and star design of the flag actually makes this historic flag have a modern look to it. The red stripe at the bottom of the flag stands for courage. The grizzly bear was once a very common animal in the California wilds. It is the official state animal today and on the flag represents strength. The red star may seem random, however, it is there to proudly portray sovereignty. Lastly, the white background of the flag stands for purity.
